ContradictionOur first-ever Wingnuts Award goes to Hillary Clinton in the category of Self Contradiction for her foot-in-mouth work on the email scandal.

Hillary is feeling heat from the FBI and justice department for hiring a private security firm to set up a personal email server in one of her homes as she began her role as Secretary of State in the Obama administration. She used the server to send and receive sensitive job related emails, and then subsequently wiped the server clean once it was discovered and subsequently confiscated.

During the first week of of March 2015, following the advice of her campaign team Hillary proclaimed she had set up the private server as a matter of “convenience” stating that she didn’t want to carry around two devices when she traveled — one for work email, one for personal email.

Just two weeks prior on February 24, in a question-and-answer session at the Watermark Silicon Valley Conference for Women, Hillary Clinton was asked by Kara Swisher, “iPhone or Android?” and responded “iPhone,” before pausing and then adding, “In full disclosure … and a Blackberry.” She went on to say, “I don’t throw anything away. I’m like two steps short of a hoarder. So I have an iPad, a mini iPad, an iPhone and a Blackberry.”

Congratulations Hillary on receiving this award! And don’t worry, you will be in good company. As luck would have it, handing out Wingnuts Awards to corrupt politicians will be easy. The field is broad, diverse, and the offenses are — well, offensive.
